I blog because I have a lot to say

If you know me, you know that I’m not always the loudest person in the room. I’m not usually the one screaming for attention. I feel like I always have a lot to say, but I’m always waiting for the opportunity to say it and sometimes it never comes. And that’s ok, because I would rather be a part of a conversation than talk without anyone actually hearing me.

Blogging is sort of strange when you’re like me, and you like to be a part of a conversation. When you’re just starting out and you have a lot to say, you hold some of it back for whatever reason, but when you do have things to say it rarely becomes part of a conversation. It’s hard to get people to comment and respond to what you say. I know people are reading, but not many are talking. It’s frustrating! Some days I feel like I’m that girl that’s talking while everyone else is talking, but they’re all talking to someone and I’m just talking to everyone and no one is listening to me.

Why am I always that girl?

But then I realize that it doesn’t matter, because everyone deserves to have a moment where they get to speak without anyone else speaking over them. For me this is right now, whether someone will read, understand, agree with or reply to or not.

What I have to say is important to me and if it isn’t important to you, then that’s ok.

I blog because I have a lot to say, but I also blog because it feels good to say it, even though no one might hear it.
